Joseph City’s struggles on the gridiron continued this week with a 32-78 road loss at Williams on Friday night. The Vikings came into the game ranked 10th and hoping for a 1A state playoff spot. Joseph City is ranked 18th, and more than likely on the outside looking in at the state playoff picture as only 12 1A football teams make the postseason.
The Cats have just two games left on their regular season schedule. This week is a winnable game for them as they travel to Fredonia to take on Lynx team which is winless on the season. The Wildcats will end their season at home on Oct. 13, against rival Mogollon.
