Finding a job in the 21st Century requires a different set of tools. Get help preparing your toolbox with free Career Readiness Workshops, led by Northland Pioneer College Career Services Manager John Spadaccini, at the NPC campuses in Holbrook and Snowflake/Taylor.
Open to the general public, current NPC students and alumni, the five-week series covers career assessment; preparation of resumés and cover letters; setting up a LinkedIn professional social media account; career fair and interview preparation; and concluding with seasonal career fairs with federal, state and regional employers available at each location.
All workshops will be weekly from 5 to 6 p.m., with the career fairs from 2 to 5 p.m. It is not required to attend every workshop, however, Spadaccini encourages participation at all five sessions.
Holbrook first session began on Tuesday, Aug. 28 but they will continue each Tuesday through Sept. 25, at the NPC Holbrook campus, located at 2251 E. Navajo Blvd., in the Skills Center, Room 104, with the career fair in the Nizoni Learning Center lobby.
Sessions will be held beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 30 and will continue on Thursdays through Sept. 27, at the NPC Snowflake/Taylor Campus, located at 1611 S. Main St. Workshops will be in the Learning Center, Room 112, with the Career Fair in the Performing Arts Center.
