Manuel Lewis of Snowflake passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Funeral services were held May 14 at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake. Interment was at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor. He was born Jan. 9, 1948, to Manuelito and Katherine Lewis in White Cone. Manuel went to high school in Holbrook, graduating with the Class of 1968. He then joined the Marine Corps and served his country as a corporal, with one tour of duty in Vietnam. His hobbies included watching rodeos and high school sports. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Essie M. Lewis; his sons, Emmanuel Lewis and Marvin P. Lewis; and his daughter, Kimberly A. Lewis. He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Chance Lewis and Niko Lewis. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
