The Lady Wildcats opened the softball season with three wins last week. Hosting St. Johns on Tuesday, the team gutted out an 11-10 win over the Redskins.
Saturday, they hosted St. Michael in a doubleheader contest. Joseph City won both games easily. They took the first game 16-0, then won the second 27-1.
Joseph City will host Sequoia Charter on Tuesday, then will host multiple teams in the Joseph City Softball Invitational tournament held Thursday through Saturday. The Cats are slated to face Chinle and Fredonia on Thursday, then will see St. Johns and Hayden on Friday. Saturday’s games will depend on results from the first two days.
On Monday the Wildcats will be in Holbrook taking on the Lady Roadrunners in what will be the only game for both squads during their respective spring breaks. Joseph City will return to the diamond on March 22 when they travel to Williams.
