The Lady Lobos split two games played last week. Tuesday night they were in action at the Wildcat Den in Chinle where the home team handed them a 51-36 loss. Chinle was a final-four team last year and has the majority of their players returning. Combine that with playing on their home court they are always tough to beat.
The Wildcats led by 6 after the first quarter and by 7 at the half. Snowflake kept the game within single digits in the third period, but in the fourth Chinle outscored them 12-5 finishing off the win.
Friday night the Ladies hosted Coolidge for their first home game of the season. Playing at home may have been enough to boost them to a 44-39 win over the Bears.
That win moved their overall season record to 4-2. They are 1-1 in regular season play.
This week, they travel to face a very good Page team on Tuesday. Friday night, they return home to host Sabino. Next Tuesday, they will host Tuba City. The Lobos will play in the EAC Holiday Tournament from Dec. 19-21, then be off until Jan. 3, when they host Pusch Ridge.
