The initial volleyball rankings were released last week. Snowflake found themselves in a customary top four position. Their 8-2 regular-season mark isn’t typical for the team at this point, but it is still a solid record with three weeks left in the regular season. Their two losses came against fifth-ranked Monument Valley in the season opener and against eighth-ranked Blue Ridge two weeks ago.
Last week, the team won its only regular season match with a resounding 3-0 win on the road at ALA Vista in Peoria. The Defenders are winless in 3A conference play thus far this season.
This week, Snowflake will host Ganado on Tuesday, then travel to Round Valley on Thursday. Next week, they take on the top-ranked team in 3A when they host unbeaten Gilbert Christian.
