Jimmy was born on Dec. 8, 1958, in Snowflake. Jimmy was the father of three, James Petersen, Belinda Petersen and Dwayne Petersen. He is also the proud grandpa of 14 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and was quick to tell you he had caught the biggest. He enjoyed traveling the open road to marvel at the scenery. Jimmy was a collector of tools. His grandchildren were the greatest loves of his life. Jimmy started out with a passion for logging in the White Mountains. During the off-season he would work on the log trucks, which gave birth to a new passion. Jimmy dedicated his life to the profession of diesel mechanic. He was known far and wide for his expertise on the subject. Drivers would travel hundreds of miles just to have Jimmy’s heart and knowing mind work on their trucks. They were entrusting their livelihood to the best. Jimmy always came through for them even if they could not pay. Jimmy was known for his service to his family, friends and even strangers. Once he met you, you were strangers no more. Along with his children, Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Judy Wood, Mary Granato, Doyle Petersen, Lenny Wilkie and Violet Petersen. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
