The Wildcats were idle last week, since their game with Fredonia was canceled. That leaves them with one game left in their season. They will travel to Heber to take on the third ranked Mustangs on Friday night.
Joseph City was ranked 15th heading into last weekend, but in 1A football only the top 12 teams in the power rankings qualify for the state playoffs. Barring a major upset over rival Mogollon on Friday night, Joseph City will have their season come to a close on Friday night.
This game used to be a close rivalry however, Joseph City hasn’t defeated Mogollon since the 2016-2017 season. The Wildcats are 2-5 heading into their final game of the season.
