Joseph City won both games played last week, with both contests being competitive. Hosting a 10-7 Camp Verde team on Monday, the Wildcats found themselves trailing by 5 after the first quarter and by 9 at that half.
A good halftime adjustment led to a 24-point third quarter for the home team enabling them to overtake the Cowboys 50-46 going into the final frame. In the fourth they were able to maintain their lead, eventually winning the game 67-59.
Eli James led the way with 21 points. Cort Miller added 19; Jaimen Tsosie, 8; King Robinson, 6; Kase Fish, 5; Trenton Deets, 4; and Anakin Hutchens and Coltan James each helped with 2.

Valley Sanders poured in 43 second half points outscoring the Cats by 10 but couldn’t make up for the first half offensive performance by the Wildcats.
