Joseph City could be in for a long football season. Through their first three games, they are still looking for their first win. None of the outcomes have been very close including last week’s 58-6 drubbing by El Capitan.
The Eagles season is going in the opposite direction, as they are off to a 4-0 beginning with their games all being lopsided as well. Joseph City is having a rebuilding season with multiple seniors having graduated from last year’s team.
This week they will host the Mayer Wildcats. Mayer is struggling as well. Their only win was a forfeit by Cibecue. In their past three games, they have been shut out 50-0 by El Capitan, 66-0 by Mogollon and 58-0 by Williams.
If Joseph City has a win on their schedule this year, this could be the game. With Williams, Fredonia, and Mogollon left on their schedule Joseph City needs a win this week.
