The following incidents were among the 168 handled by the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department (STPD) during the period of Jan. 19-25. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by STPD officers are accused of committing a civil violation or of criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 3:16 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, Nathan Mills, 35, of Snowflake was cited and released for DUI and an open container violation after an officer responded to the 100 block of Freeman Hollow Road for a report of a man slumped over the steering wheel of a truck. She was then shoved/tackled through a cardboard potato chip display and into the cabinets underneath the drink machine. The victim screamed for help as Hunsaker, a 6-foot 2-inch 125-pound, male was attacking her. Hunsaker called her obscenities then left the store. One of the two witnesses attempted to stop Hunsaker outside the store and was held back by Hunsaker’s father, Travis Hunsaker. Camera footage of the incident matched the reports of those involved. EMS was called to the scene and transported the victim to Summit Healthcare. The victim had a bruising left eye, cuts and bruising on her left arm and elbow, and extreme pain in her right ribs area.
