Snowflake Welcome Sign

The Snowflake Town Council held a special meeting June 8 to secure legal advice from the town attorney on a revenue contract with a new business.

Upon returning from a lengthy executive session, Mayor Tom Poscharsky asked staff to review the contract from the appropriate party when it comes in, and answer it prior to the Tuesday, June 21, planning and zoning commission meeting. He did not state the name of the business.

Town Manager Brian Richards explained that there will be a public forum and question and answer session concerning the proposed marijuana grow facility at 6 p.m. on June 21, followed by the commission meeting at 7 p.m.

Prior to going into executive session, the council approved Ordinance No. 2016-3, annexation of properties located at 4969 State Route 77 owned by Jace R. and Sarah L. Baum, and 4929 SR 77 owned by Mountain Time Management, LLC.

The June 14 council meeting was cancelled. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 28, and the marijuana grow facility will be on the agenda.
