The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Dec. 19-25. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. On Tuesday, Dec. 21, Danae Fish, 36, of Joseph City was arrested for DUI and a warrant, and Joshua Richards, 35, of Phoenix was arrested for taking the identity of another person or entity and two warrants following a traffic stop on West Camp Road in Joseph City. Both Fish and Richards were booked into the Navajo County Jail. On Tuesday, Derrell Flemons, 48, of Holbrook was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on Highway 180 near Milepost 308 in Holbrook. Flemons was booked into the county jail. On Wednesday, Dec. 22, Jose Angel Baca, 38, of Winslow was arrested for promoting prison contraband and possession of dangerous drugs after deputies responded to the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook in reference to a bag of an unknown substance found on Baca as he was being booked in the jail that was tested and confirmed to be methamphetamine.
