Human skeletal remains located near milepost 11 on Concho Highway on June 14 have been identified as 20-year-old Caleb Michael Angel Gill. Caleb was last seen on the evening of Jan. 19 near his residence east of Snowflake. The positive identification was a collaborative effort with help from the Navajo County Medical Examiner’s Office, Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab. The remains were located after two individuals riding on ATV’s in the area came upon human skeletal remains. The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit assumed the investigation with help from Show Low Police Department Detectives. Investigators do not suspect any criminal activity surrounding the young man’s death.
