Mary Ford, the beloved wife of John Ford passed from earth life on Thursday, March 30, 2017. A memorial service will be scheduled at a date to be announced. She was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Boone, Iowa, of Kenneth and Helen Dodge, now both deceased. Survivors include her husband, John M. Ford of Snowflake; two sisters; Phyllis Stiemke of Watertown, Wis., and Elizabeth Corfield of Mesa; a brother, Thomas Dodge of Wiggins, Miss.; a son, Billy C. Loveday; a stepson, John R. Ford; three grandchildren, Bailey Loveday, Brittani Loveday and Billy Loveday III; and five great-grandchildren, Gregory Loveday, Grayden Loveday, Roemer Harrison, Caralyn Loveday and Rosalyn Loveday, all of Gulfport, Miss. During her long and productive 79 years of life Mary enjoyed a number of careers as an editor in a newspaper ad department, an executive secretary (secretary to an Air Force base commander in North Africa), a legal secretary and a real estate sales agent for Integrity Reality, but what she loved most was grooming dogs. She often said she was the oldest living dog groomer in the state of Arizona. Whether she was or not can be debated. She will be missed. Please do not send flowers. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
