Snowflake extended their winning streak to five with a pair of home court wins last week. Hosting Window Rock on Wednesday, they easily handled the Scouts 59-29. Friday’s home court win came over Show Low in an east region contest by a final of 55-40.
Snowflake built a 23-10 lead over the Cougars in the first period and while the rest of the game was competitive the outcome was never really in doubt.
The Lobos entered Friday’s game ranked eighth in 3A. On Tuesday night they took on sixth-ranked Holbrook in what is expected to be a full house at Holbrook’s Munoz Gym. The Roadrunners are 16-4 overall and the Lobos are 14-3 on the season.
Snowflake and Holbrook are sitting number one and two in the east region standings at this point.
Following the big game in Holbrook on Tuesday, Snowflake will play at Blue Ridge on Friday night. Next Tuesday they host Payson. The Yellowjackets are currently ranked 10th while the Longhorns are sitting in the 22nd position.
