The Lady Roadrunners were hoping for a home match in the 3A play-in game on Tuesday but last Wednesday’s loss to Payson dropped the Roadrunners all the way down to the 20th overall seed. They will now face Winslow on Tuesday night for the right to make the state tournament bracket.
Holbrook and Winslow split their two matches played this year with each team winning on the other team’s home court with both matches going four games. Winslow won the most recent match played on Oct. 18. Holbrook is limping into the play-in game having dropped their last five matches to end the regular season with a record of 7-10.
Winslow (10-8) comes in ranked 13th overall having won three of their last four matches played. The winner of this game gets to extend their season to the weekend. The loser of Tuesday’s contest will have their season come to a close.
