On the heels of winning their own “Be Like Nat” tournament last week, the Lady Lobos volleyball team have now won six straight regular season matches as well, thanks to sweeping all three opponents they faced last week.
Their week began with a 3-0 win at Page on Tuesday night. Following a short night’s sleep after a long ride home, the Ladies showed no ill effects of that trip by taking three straight from the Lady Cougars in Show Low. They won the first two in dominating fashion 25-9, and 25-9, then closed out the match with a 25-23 game three win.
In the Show Low win Chelsea Caskey led in kills with 14. Ranell West added 6, and Alyssa Peterson finished with 5. Brooklyn Stratton led the defense in digs with 14. Taya Schneider added 12, and Gracie Lundberg finished with 10. Gracie Lundberg handled the assist duties collecting 34 in the match.
The team finally played on their home floor on Friday night and took care of Thatcher, 3-1. This week Snowflake, now 6-1 in regular season matches, will travel to Safford on Tuesday then head to Holbrook on Wednesday. The team will compete in the Battle of the Realm Tournament hosted by AZ College Prep this weekend. They are slated to face Catalina Foothills, Chandler and Estrella Foothills in pool action on Friday. They resume regular season action on the 8th when they host Winslow.
