The Lady Lobos volleyball team cruised through two regular season matches last week before competing in their own “Be Like Nat” tournament played over the weekend.
Hosting Winslow on Monday, the Lobos had little problems with a struggling Bulldog team. Snowflake won in three straight games, holding Winslow to single digits in the first two: 25-24 and 25-8. The third game was closer, with Snowflake closing out the match 25-22.
Snowflake hosted a 5-8 St. Johns team on Wednesday, sending them home with a 3-1 loss.
The Lobos cruised through their first three pool matches on Friday, handing St. Johns a 2-0 loss, before taking care of Red Mountain 2-1. Bracket results were not available for Saturday at press time.
The Lobos have a busy week ahead and were 12-3 overall heading into Saturday’s action. They will travel to face Show Low on Tuesday, then face the Yellowjackets in Blue Ridge on Thursday. Friday, Seton Catholic comes to Snowflake. Next Tuesday, the team will play at ALA Vistancia.
