The Lady Lobos rolled through their two opponents in last week’s volleyball games, defeating Show Low on Tuesday in three games, and Holbrook on Thursday in three straight games. The team is currently ranked second in power points and with wins in their final two games this week will more than likely enter the 3A State tournament as the No. 2 seed.
This week they will travel to Blue Ridge on Monday, then will host No. 4 Safford on Wednesday night. That game with the highly ranked and unbeaten Bulldogs will help to get them tournament-ready for the state playoffs, which begin on Saturday, Nov. 4. Those first-round games will be played at Marcos de Niza High School or Mesa High School depending on the matchups.
Snowflake enters the final week of the regular season with a mark of 14-1 with their only loss coming against top-ranked Valley Christian.
