A viewing will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Snowflake. The funeral will immediately follow at 1 p.m. She was born Jan. 23, 1937, in Grand Junction, Colo., to Cullen Edward and Grace Christenia Thompson. She lived on a ranch near Phippsburg, Colo., until she was 5 when the family moved to Kanab, Utah, Barstow, Calif., and later to Casa Grande. They lived in Georgia and Kentucky while Keith was in the Army, after which they moved to St. George, Utah, and finally to Snowflake. In Snowflake she worked as a caregiver for the elderly, in the lunch room for the Snowflake School District, and, most importantly, as a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her eight children, 26 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Janet was a loving and happy woman who brought joy to the lives of all she knew, and happiness to everyone she came in contact with. She served faithfully through the years in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, always ready to help and lift another with her kind acts of love and service.
