The Holbrook First Baptist Church welcomes Pastor David Lee to lead its congregation. “Pastor Dave,” as he is known, was born in California, and moved with his parents to Mesa in 1991, after his dad retired from the US Navy. His service to the Lord began early in life, serving as a youth leader in his 20’s by teaching and leading Sunday School classes in Gilbert. However, it was not until 2018 that he gave his life fully over to the gospel ministry after following the Lord’s call.

His ministry journey began in Roswell, N.M., where he spent some time getting re-acquainted with God. In 2019, he left his career as an EMT and settled down in Vernon. Over the past six years Pastor Dave engaged in many different ministries. He pastored a local church in Show Low until he moved to Holbrook. In 2020, he helped to start and organize the White Mountain Truth Rally, a multidenominational movement of believers that takes place annually in Vernon.

In 2023, Pastor Dave began serving as a religious volunteer in the Apache Unit Arizona State Prison complex outside of St. Johns as a Celebrate Recovery leader. He also engaged in street evangelism and open-air preaching on the streets of Phoenix during the Superbowl. He returned to street preaching during the Super Bowl in 2024, preaching Jesus Christ on the streets of Las Vegas, Nev. Since that time, evangelism has become a large part of his ministry. Pastor Dave has been receiving ministry training at the Christian Leaders Institute, having received 38 academic awards, certificates, ministry licenses and an Associate of Divinity, graduating with honors, Magna Cum Laude. He is expected to graduate again in October, with his Bachelor of Divinity and will then move on to a master’s program.

Pastor Dave is married to his wife Dawn Lee. They have three children, all who are grown. They also have six grandchildren. His hobbies, when he can find the time, include reading, and being an amateur blacksmith and knife maker. He lives by a simple philosophy to help whoever he can, as often as he can, whenever he can, if he can. In addition to this, he truly believes that the love of Christ should compel each of us to live biblical and holy lives.
