The Holbrook Summer Recreation Program has a number of activities lined up for kids through the months of June and July. To register, visit the city offices at 465 First Ave. Locations for classes will be provided at registration. All classes are $5 unless noted otherwise.
June 14
A kids’ craft and recycling class for ages 5 to 12 will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. or 3 to 4:30 p.m. tomorrow (June 14).
June 19
A cooking class for kids ages 5 to 11 will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19.
June 25-28
Basketball camp will be held on June 25-28 at Holbrook High School. Registration is $10 and includes a T-shirt. Call 241-0586 for more details.
June 25-29
Kids’ Music Camp for ages 6 to 10 will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 25-29. Fee includes snacks. Those participating will perform in the Fourth of July Parade.
July 3
Kids ages 5 to 12 can learn how to fish from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, at the Hidden Cove Golf Course. The class includes a free fishing pole.
July 10-11
A kids’ archery class for ages 8 to 12 will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10-11.
July 10, 17
A terra cotta art class for ages 10 and older will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 17.
July 18
A box aquarium class will be held for ages 4 to 9 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18.
July 24
An ice cream in a bag class will be held for ages 4 to 9 from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24.
July 25
A pet rock class will be held for ages 4 to 9 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25.
Mexican Folklorico Dance Classes for ages 2 and up are being held at 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Holbrook Community Building next to the Holbrook Library. The cost is $25 per month.
Yoga with Alicia for kids ages 12 and up will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. The fee for this class is $10 per month.
The Holbrook Fitness Center is open for kids ages 12 to 16 from 3:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is $5 for the months of June and July only.
The Splash Pad is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sundays.
