The Snowflake Town Council approved corrected boundary lines affecting the Snowflake Golf Course, subject to review by its legal counsel, at a meeting held Jan. 13.

Discrepancies in the boundary lines between the golf course, the new nine holes and Temple Estates were discovered when Kirk Brimhall of Temple Estates was doing a simple survey to align property.

Brimhall explained that when surveying, they found some boundary issue discrepancies that need to be corrected. They are small, 8’, 16’ and 22’, and mostly in the wash, so this will not affect the property, but in order to write descriptions for land exchanges they needed to be corrected.

Town Manager Paul Watson said that the town’s engineer spoke with Brimhall’s engineer, Ronald Matkin, and found the survey points to be correct.

Three of the four parties involved, Frontier 6, Rimrock View Estates, and Decker Ranches & Development, had signed off on the changes, leaving only the town to agree.

Mayor Tom Poscharsky asked Town Attorney Bob Hall if he had reviewed the legal aspects of the changes.

Hall said that he relied heavily on the engineer, who assured him that the new survey was correct, but there were a couple of legal issues that he would like to review. He suggested the council approve the changes subject to his review.

The council unanimously approved the boundary lines as shown in the Record of Survey, subject to review by Hall.
