He achieved professional success in administration and guidance, but his true passion was on the fields and courts of athletic competition, coaching several state champion teams in basketball and softball. Gerry loved the White Mountains, where he spent untold hours with family and friends, fishing, hunting, cutting wood, and cutting more wood. A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gerry has held numerous callings and positions of leadership and service within his church and community. While attending Snowflake High School, Gerry met the love of his life, Joyce Porter from Heber. They were married and sealed to each other for time and all eternity in the Mesa Temple on Aug. 17, 1957. Gerry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Natalie and his brother, Ronnie. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his six children, Sher (Billy), Danny (Cami), Don, Shelly (Nathan), Lori (Terry), and D.L. (Gena); 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and his eight siblings. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake handled the arrangements.
