Daniel Lee Kuehn
A memorial has been scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at 3828 Aztec Road in Snowflake. There will be signs in the area to provide directions.
Daniel “Dan” Lee Kuehn passed away on Feb. 15, 2022, just shy of his 64th birthday in the comfort of his parents’ home in Snowflake. He left us peacefully, ending his battle with several medical issues in recent years. His journey on this earth may have ended, but his great impact on his family and friends will last forever.
In addition to being a loving son, brother, father and grandfather, Dan will be remembered in life as a musician, an adventurer, martial artist, entrepreneur and a visionary. He was always learning something new. He studied marine biology in college and had an admiration for the ocean. Later in life he practiced natural healing. He loved to read and was always working on his next big project. His dream was to restore an old sailboat and an ultralight airplane and make his way to the oceanside of Panama.
He was a hero to his daughters and always treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. His life was dynamic, unique and fascinating. He had a deep love for animals, frequently sharing his home with rescued exotic pets, such as Sheba the black panther, wolves, birds and bobcats. He was well travelled, having lived in Washington, Africa, Reno, Phoenix and finally the desert mountains of Snowflake.
Dan is survived by his mother and step-father, Shannon and Neil Wellenstein; sisters, Debbie Booth and Dee (Larry) Seehoffer; daughters, Amira Kuehn and Theresa (Brad) Collins; and six grandchildren, Audra, Jack, Kaven, Kira, Mikel and Kyson.
Dan will be honored in a gathering of his family and friends to spread his ashes and celebrate his life.
