By Toni Gibbons The Snowflake-Taylor Chamber of Commerce (STCC) Lunch and Learn on Oct. 24, was hosted by Navajo County Public Health Services District, with speakers Allison Hephner, community outreach specialist and Edwin Rodriguez, epidemiologist. Hephner and Rodriguez presented findings from the recent Community Health Assessment (CHA) and the resulting Community Health Implementation Plan (CHIP) that identifies, prioritizes and addresses the most pressing health issues facing Navajo County. Hephner encouraged community businesses and leaders to become a part of the CHIP by taking part in the meetings held throughout the year, “as it will take the work of everyone to see the changes we need to make in our county.” STCC Executive Director Charlotte Hatch announced that the award for Best Set Up at the Snowflake Harvest Festival on Oct. 13 went to Wells Fargo Bank for their Pony Express Junior game. “Not only did the Wells Fargo employees do a great job of setting up their game,” said Hatch. “They also came dressed as cowboys with their stick horses.” For more information on the CHA findings and CHIP implementation, visit www.navajocountyaz.gov and search under Public Health Services.
