Carrie Emma Yerkes, 60, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011, in Show Low. Private services will be held through Owens Livingston Mortuary-Heritage Chapel in Snowflake. She was born May 22, 1951, in Wheeling, W.Va., to William Henry Purcell and Oda Rosetta Longwell Purcell. Carrie was a loving wife to her husband, Anthony, for 45 years; they were married Sept. 17, 1966. She was a very upstanding person who was always helping other people; she was a saint. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for 30 years. Carrie will be missed by her loving family, friends and everyone who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Anthony of Snowflake; a sister, Lottie Day of Snowflake; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
