Candace Elvera “Candy” Marsh-Moore, 65, passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, in Grand Rapids, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock this morning (Dec. 4) at the Pioneer Park Chapel, located at 421 N. Main St. in Snowflake. There will be a visitation one hour prior. She will be buried next to her mother, Viola Avilla, in the R.V. “Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.

She was born Oct. 11, 1950, in Grand Rapids, and her family later relocated to Phoenix.

She married Kenneth Moore in 1989 and the two of them raised seven sons together, Shane, Piet, Kevin, Jason, Joey and Rusty (deceased).

Survivors include her two older sisters, Barbara June and Betty Jean, an older brother, Karl Junior, a younger sister, Pamela, and two younger brothers, Bruce and Timothy Avilla. She is also survived by six sons; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-law, Amanda, Missy and Jessica; and her best friend of 50 years, Ann.

Candy was a special spirit, like a willow in the wind. She spent her later years traveling in her red car with the license plates “Syndrla” to spend time with her family. She lived by the motto, “Having a place to go is home, having someone to love is family, and having both is a blessing.” She lived like a nomad and believed “not all who wander are lost.”

Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake was in charge of the arrangements.
