On Nov. 26, the Bulldogs hosted the Page Sand Devils for their home opener. In a game that would stay close throughout, it would be the foul trouble that would hinder the Bulldogs, keeping the Sand Devils in the bonus through much of the game.
In the first quarter the Bulldogs would outshoot the Sand Devils, 14 to 13 but in the second quarter, the Sand Devils would take the lead, outscoring the Bulldogs 13 to 8, making the halftime score Page 26, Winslow 22.
In the third quarter the Sand Devils would just edge the Bulldogs in scoring 14 to 13. Then in the fourth quarter both teams would trade baskets with each team scoring 10 points, but it was not enough for the Bulldogs, who ended the game with a final score of Page 50, Winslow 45.
Winslow had one player in double digits, freshman Ian Benally with 11 points. Winslow was two of three from the line.
This week the Bulldogs head to Ganado to face the Hornets at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3, then are back home on Dec. 5 to take on the Chinle Wildcats and Dec. 7, the Window Rock Scouts both games at 7:30.
