The St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Holbrook will be hosting its Seventh Annual Community Blast from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, July 21, at Lewis Park. The event will include food and drink, bounce houses, face painting, obstacle courses, races, dunking booths and entertainment free of cost to all who attend. Local businesses and organizations have also been invited to set up in the park to provide the community with resource information and opportunities to identify needed services. The goal of the event is to impact the community of Holbrook in a very powerful and life changing way that demonstrates the love of Christ. It is the organizers intention to continue to grow in this endeavor and more help is needed. Donations of food for the picnic, to help cover the cost for supplies, or to provide much-needed extra hands on the day of the event is welcome. To take part in providing this day of fun and blessings in the community of Holbrook please feel free to contact Pastor Sandra Lewis at (928) 241-3101.
