Yuma Catholic won the Arizona Division III golf championship with a low total of 607 for three days of play. Desert Christian was second at 611 and Snowflake was the top northern region team with a score of 616, good for third place. Twelve teams were in the match.
Kyle Jones of Snowflake was the individual medalist with a score of 138, which was five under par. Jones has consistently been one of the best golfers in the area. Dillon Washburn of Blue Ridge was another area golfer who shot well, posting a score of 154, good for a tie for 13th place.
The only Winslow golfer in the tournament was David Aberle, who shot a 167 to tie for 43rd place.
Holbrook’s Random Skevington shot a 174 to tie for 61st place.
