The two Winslow Unified School District Governing Board meetings this month consisted of few items of business as an insurance presentation and educator training have commanded the agendas.

The governing board approved the hiring of Ricky Greer as athletic director and activities coordinator at Winslow High School and Winslow Junior High School; and Taylor Bradley and Christie Bratt, each as WJHS track and field coaches.

The board also accepted the resignations effective May 23 of Beth Bordner, second grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary; Kelli Fifelski, second grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary; Alexis Marquez, classroom aide at Jefferson Elementary; and Cynthia Thompson, high needs aide at WHS.

The next meeting of the Winslow Unified School District Governing Board will be a special meeting held at 6 p.m. tonight (March 27) in the board meeting room, located at 800 N. Apache Ave.
