By K. Conner In the final game of the regular season the Bulldogs hosted a Florence Gophers team that came into the game hoping to move up in seeding for the playoffs. In the first quarter the Gophers would lead by a bucket 10-8, with Winslow only hitting one out of six charity shots. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs continued to struggle with their shooting even on the line and would end the half trailing 27-22. Winslow began to shake off the cobwebs in the third quarter and outshot Florence 17-10 to lead 39-37. The fourth quarter was a nail biter as the lead was switching back and forth based on position and it looked like it was headed to overtime when a Gopher would foul Bulldog Dustin Richard with just a fraction of a second showing on the clock, sending him to the line to shoot two, which he made both getting the Winslow win 51-49. Winslow’s Dustin Richard was the only Bulldog in double digits with 22 points. With a 14-1 record the Bulldogs go in to post season play as the No. 2 seed and will host the Northwest Christian Crusaders, the 15th seed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10.
