W Obit Roberson William

William Ray Roberson William Ray Roberson was born on Sept. 7, 1960, to Crawford and Pat Roberson and passed away on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Joseph City High School Auditorium, followed by a graveside service at the Joseph City Cemetery, as well as a community meal at the Joseph City Firehouse. He grew up in Joseph City with his older brother Wallace and sister Tempy and younger sister Lori. His family lovingly called him “Slim” and he graduated from Joseph City High in 1978. Cholla Power Plant was a central part of Bill’s life, where he built his career for over 41 years…. but besides giving him a living, Cholla Lake gave Bill the love of his life – Rhonda (Groves). He was skiing on the lake one June weekend in the Summer of 1979 when he was taken by an auburn-haired beauty that would change his life and open his heart. They married on Dec. 29, 1979. They built a wonderful life together in Joseph City, welcoming first their son Crawford “Earl” Lloyd Roberson and then their daughter Rachelle Louise Roberson. He dedicated his life to his family and never wanted to be away from them. Bill loved to hunt and fish and never sat still for long. He was a great cook who opened his doors and rolled his barbecue pit up to many a wedding or event, to feed anyone and everyone. The other role Bill cherished was that of grandpa. He never missed a chance to spend time with any and all of his grandkids, teaching them to hunt, fish, cut wood and sing. Bill is survived by his loving wife of almost 42 years, Rhonda; both of his adoring children, Earl (Kellen), Rachelle Hansen (Clint); mother, Pat; siblings, Wallace (Lucy), Tempy (Dave) and Lori (Mark); five cherished grandchildren, Lexie, Rowdy, Rawley, Ridge and Rocklynne; six nephews, three nieces, five great-nephews, six great-nieces; uncle, Ray Pogue (Irma); aunt, Pat Pogue; and great-uncle, Gordon Roberson, as well as many cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Crawford; uncle, Doug Pogue; and his niece, Holly. Bill was a hard-working man and was the greatest energy out of that plant. Anyone who was blessed to know Bill knew they could count on him. He was always there for whatever anyone needed. We ask that you honor Bill by working hard, loving loyally, being a great friend and enjoying life….cuz ya only get one chance – Get ‘er Done!
