The Wildcats entered last weekend ranked 12th in the 1A rankings and with two games against Mogollon on Tuesday left on their schedule they are poised for a state tournament bid. The 1A state tournament begins on May 3, with the top 16 teams in the bracket. If Joseph City remains inside the top 16, which it appears they will, they will have some considerable time off to prepare for that opening round game.
