The Lady Wildcats are set to open volleyball season on Wednesday this week and will do so with a veteran line up. Eight seniors are listed on Coach Charlsye Miller’s squad.
Last year’s team had just three seniors, dropped their first 6 regular season matches, and went 10-8 before bowing out to Mogollon in the second round of the 1A State playoffs.
This year, the team expects to be much improved with their senior leadership. Following their season opening match in Kingman, they will play multiple games at the Payson Tournament over the weekend. They return to regular season action on Sept. 2, with a home court match up with Ash Fork.
