By Greg Perkins Hosting El Capitan on Friday night, Joseph City struggled to stop the Eagles defensively resulting in a 40-16 home field loss. El Capitan scored twice in the opening frame, and only once in the second period to lead 20-0 at the half. The Wildcats were still within reach at the break, but after the Eagles put 14 more on the board in the third period the final result was a forgone conclusion. Joseph City did punch into the endzone twice in the final period but the game was well out of reach at that point. El Capitan piled up 267 yards on the ground and added another 149 yards through the air. Junior Eagle running back Isaiah Bradshaw rushed 27 times piling up 223 yards with six touchdowns in the big win. Joseph City is now 1-3 on the season and has two games left on the season. They will host Fredonia on Friday night then will play at Mogollon in their regular season finale on Nov. 6. Fredonia is 0-3 on the season and may give the Wildcats an opportunity to pick up their second win of the season.
