The Lady Wildcats volleyball team added two more marks in the win column last week taking care of Cibecue at home on Wednesday and then handling Hayden on the road on Saturday.

Wednesday’s match was a dominating effort by Joseph City. They won the first game 25-10, and took the second and third games 25-9 to win the match.

Kate Edwards led the team in kills with 12. Kadence Armstrong added six, and Ava Neil finished with three kills and served four aces.

Kayle James led the way in aces with seven and in assists with 19. April Neil had six digs. Ava Niel, Brenlee Hutchens, and Kate Edwards each had four digs.

The Wildcats made the trip to Hayden where the trip was much longer than the match, with Joseph City making quick work of the Lobos finishing them off in three straight games.

With only the final week left in the regular season, seventh ranked Joseph City has a tough stretch of games before heading to post season play. After hosting No. 4 Mogollon on Monday of this week they will travel to take on No. 9 Fort Thomas on Wednesday, then finish off the week and the regular season by hosting No. 3 Rock Point on Saturday.

Next week the Wildcats will compete in the 1A Copper Tournament, which will be hosted by Fort Thomas High School.

Joseph City is 10-5 heading into the final week of the season.
