Joseph City had two wrestlers qualify for the Division 4 State Wrestling Meet held at Veterans Coliseum over the weekend. Owen Beatty, wrestling in the 175-pound weight class finished as the state runner-up in that division after posting a 3-1 record in the state meet. He was pinned in the title match by Trenton Blomqist from Yuma Catholic. Beatty’s overall season record was 54-3.
Joseph Thomas, competing in the 190-pound weight class went 1-2 in three matches compiling a season record of 42-15.
