The Winslow High School Dance Line performs at almost every football and basketball game throughout each season and competes at several competitions of their own in order to be able to qualify for state competition. They are a very disciplined team that works hard and is a crowd favorite every time they perform and are the reigning state champs in their division.

On Oct. 26, the Dance Line started this year’s competition at the Desert Kick-Off in Gilbert, competing against other schools. They performed in three categories: Pom, Hip Hop and Game Day, and finished second in all three.

The WHS Dance Line dancers include Riley Alexander, Haileigh Barton, Shai Barton, Amanda Childers, Ailis Corum, Ziva Johnson, Zoey Jones, Adysen Leonard, Stella Martinez, Leila Palfy, Krystal Perez, Grace Pollard and Sydney Smith-Caldera. They are under the direction of Head Coach Tamry Wright, with assistant coaches Katrina Hernandez, Kristi Corum and Madison Lymer.

At 9 a.m. on Nov. 9, they will be hosting the Third Annual Tammy Ramsey Classic at Petronovich Gym in Winslow.
