At 12:37 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, Holbrook Police officers responded to the area of the railroad tracks near East Joy Nevin and Third Street regarding a report that a subject had been struck by an eastbound train. Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad reported the individual was lying across the eastbound track but they were unable to stop in time. The victim was identified as Frederick Lee Burris, 28, of Whiteriver. The case remains under investigation.
