The City of Holbrook will host a weightlifting competition beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. The men’s categories are up to 180 lbs., 181 to 249 lbs., 250 lbs. and over, and over 50 years of age. The women’s categories are under 50 years of age and over 50 years of age. Competition lifts both individual and as a series include deadlift, squats, bench and curls. There is a $10 entry fee, and prizes will be provided for all series lifts and individual lifts for first, second and third place. Entry forms and rules are available at the city offices located at 465 First Ave.
