Reverend Virgil Stoneburner, a faithful man of God, passed away at the age of 95 on June 6, 2026. For 70 years, he dedicated his life to serving the Lord, proclaiming God’s Word, preaching and ministering the gospel.
Throughout his ministry, Reverend Stoneburner pastored churches through missions and Southern Baptist ministries, faithfully serving congregations throughout the county and across America. His greatest calling was to share the love of Christ and lead others toward God.
He was a devoted family man who treasured his family deeply. He leaves behind four children, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, along with a legacy of faith that will continue through generations.
His life was beautifully reflected in Micah 6:8: “To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
His faithfulness will be remembered, and his legacy will live on.
