At 8 a.m. on Friday, June 20, Holbrook police officers responded to the city water tanks off Crestview Drive after residents complained of having no water in the northern part of the city. It was discovered that someone had gained entrance into the building and removed an AC unit and the communication cables to the server. The AC unit was found outside of the door to the pump house.
During the investigation, it was learned that not only the gate of the fence surrounding the building but the door to the building itself does not lock. The only item that appeared to be taken was the power cord to the server. Because the cord was removed the communication to the server was broken and the water tanks had overflowed and filled a small reservoir to the west of the tanks. The incident remains under investigation.
