Obit Gallegos Troy

On May 19, 2026, Troy Anthony Gallegos unexpectedly received his wings to watch over us. Born on Feb. 6, 1964, to Stanley Montoya and Alice Montano Gallegos.

Troy was always a rambunctious child that followed the beat of his own drum. He excelled in all that he did, including football and exceptionally fast in track while attending Holbrook High School, class of 1982. After high school, he attended DeVry Institute of Technology majoring in electronics. He returned home to partner with his parents in running the family business created by grandparents — Joe & Aggie’s Café.

The first to step up to the plate, he could always be relied upon to help anyone in need. Troy enjoyed working in the garage making a tool or recreating a part for broken items that someone had asked him to repair. If Troy couldn’t fix it, it was truly broken. You always knew where you stood with him, as could be counted upon to say exactly what was on his mind.

Troy’s greatest treasure was his daughter, Noreen Alisea Bridges and granddaughter, Ashlynn Marie Bridges-Luna. He is also survived by one brother, Stanley Steven and two sisters, Kimberley Ann (Tammie) and Sharlene Guttery (John). Additionally, he is survived by nephews, nieces and a very large extended family.

Celebration of his life will be held starting with praying the rosary at 10 a.m. on June 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Holbrook.
