Several members of the Taylor Town staff met with Stephanie Romero, widow of former town employee John Romero, and her two children on March 21 to install a memorial plaque next to a blue spruce that was planted last year in John’s memory in Freeman Park. John passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in his sleep last Mother’s Day. At the time of his passing, John had been working on planting the blue spruce trees in the new expansion of the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery.
