This year’s 25th Annual Standin’ on the Corner Festival was a big success, drawing in both locals and visitors to Winslow for a weekend packed with music, games, and activities. The two-day event, held at the Eagle Pavilion, kicked off on Friday, Sept. 27, and featured a wide range of entertainment, keeping the festival lively and engaging from start to finish.

Music, as always, was central to the event, with performances starting Friday afternoon and running late into the night. From local blues legend Tommy Dukes to the high-energy Selena tribute band – 512: The Selena Experience, the festival provided a wide range of genres, keeping the crowd entertained throughout.

Saturday’s lineup didn’t disappoint either, with highlights including performances by the High 90’s Band, Eli Mosley and the festival closer, One of These Nights.

A new addition to the festival this year was the axe-throwing booth. Festivalgoers of all ages lined up to try their hand at this exciting activity. The Winslow Junior High Honor Society organized a series of games designed for smaller children who can be often forgotten about at these types of events. Ring toss and other simple carnival games were set up for the kids while also helping raise money for the honor society. Saturday featured both cornhole and horseshoe tournaments.

In addition to the music and games, there were also local vendors, food trucks, and art booths, offering everything from delicious food to handcrafted goods, showcasing the talents and flavors of the region.

Overall, the festival was a true community effort, with volunteers, local organizations, and vendors all contributing to the event’s success. The Standin’ on the Corner Festival continues to evolve, bringing something new each year while staying true to its roots as a celebration of Winslow’s unique charm and culture. Families, friends, and visitors left with smiles on their faces, already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
