Presentation College senior Jesse Spangler has definitely made a name for himself in the Presentation College baseball record book. In fact, the Holbrook native has re-written nearly the entire offensive side since he first put on a green and gold uniform back in 2015.

Never mind that he played an integral role in the team’s most winning season a year ago or that he was a part of the team that made the first appearance in the North Star Conference tournament title game in program history. This is about a player who has decided to make his mark and etch his name at the top of the list in multiple categories.

Spangler holds the career records at Presentation for hits (253), RBIs (121), home runs (28), doubles (42), runs (158), total bases (399), batting average (.369) and slugging percentage (.582). Furthermore, Spangler was four triples away from tying the triples record of 14, set by Jarred Koopman back during 2006-09 seasons.

“I am grateful for the opportunities that PC gave me to continue my baseball career and further my education,” explained Spangler. “I was able to find my own way far from home, and met many lifelong friends. Seeing how far the team has come since my freshman year is awesome, I am proud to have been a part of that process and change in culture. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Saints.”

“Hopefully I can continue my baseball career professionally, whether it be in affiliated ball, independent ball or overseas,” noted Spangler. “Once my playing career comes to an end, I will get into strength training and coaching so I can give back to the game that has given so much to me.”
