By Greg Perkins Both Snowflake soccer teams appear to be headed to the state playoffs. The Lady Lobos are certainly on that path as they entered the final week of the regular season ranked No. 4 in the power point rankings. With only today’s (Oct. 22) home match against winless Holbrook on their schedule, Snowflake should remain as one of the top four seeds in the eight-team bracket. The Lobos are a little closer to the edge, entering this week ranked ninth in the standings. On the boys’ side, the top 12 teams make the state tournament bracket. The Lobos have two matches remaining, both against teams ranked lower than them. After playing at 12th ranked Northland Prep on Tuesday, they will close out the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 23, at St. Johns. The Redskins entered this week ranked 16th and on the outside looking in at the state playoffs. Snowflake hasn’t yet faced them, but did post a 1-0 victory over Northland Prep earlier this year.
